Jesus Candy Case 10-19-11 Commentary

(mp3)

Why don’t those on the left fight for the rights of faith based kids. A long-anticipated decision has finally been handed down by the Fifth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in the infamous “candy cane” case.

The court has ruled that the Plano (Texas) Independent School District violated the Constitution by not allowing a student to hand out candy cane pens with a religious message at his class “winter” party nine years ago.

I wonder in this case where are those on the left who are always yelling kids have a right to view porn on school computers, and schools don’t have a right to keep kids from going to places on the web that might not be good for them.

What do you think.

Jail, or Church, 10-18-11 Commentary

(mp3)

The ACLU says an Alabama town should not start a program that will allow offenders to choose whether they serve a jail sentence or attend church every Sunday for a year.

I have mixed feelings on this issue. I think it would be good that some who do crime end up in a church house instead of a jail house on the other hand if it is the wrong kind of church that doesn’t preach the Bible or call souls to repent it won’t help change those who have done crime.

However knowing the ACLU most of the time is against good and Godly things overall this must be a good idea.

The Bible says if anyone will put their faith in Christ they become a new person.

Court Isn't Always the Answer 9-27-11 Commentary

(mp3 )

Don’t you think people of faith should do things differently than the world. A federal appeals court says a high school history teacher who put creationism down cannot be sued by a student . >
I have asked before and I ask it again here why do us who believe the Bible always want to sue when somebody attacks our faith. A better idea in this case would be to in a respectful way talk to the teacher explain what you believe in creation. Also if we would remove our children from the education camps known as the government schools their faith would not be attacked. There are times when it might be proper to go to court but not all the time not even most of the time.
What do you think.

Purpose of the Ten Commandments 9-21-11 Commentary

(mp3)

What is the purpose of the
Ten Commandments ? The American Center for Law & Justice (ACLJ) is asking the U.S. Supreme Court to hear an Ohio Ten Commandments case. The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has also filed suit, but the ACLJ attorney is asking the Supreme Court to take the case, as his organization argues the ACLU does not have legal standing to sue
.I have no problem with governments displaying the Ten Commandments but something I am afraid followers of Jesus forget who keep fighting court cases to have them display is that no one can keep them or by keeping any of them does one get right with the living God.

Did Paul of Jesus Ever Go to Court 9-19-11 Commentary

(mp3)

Did Jesus or Paul ever go to court to have the right to preach the good news? There will be no "fishers of men" (Matthew 4:19) at the Salmon Days Festival in Washington. The Alliance Defense Fund (ADF) has filed suit in federal court on behalf of the owner of a small construction company who was prevented from freely distributing Christian literature in public areas during the festival.
I dislike it when followers of Jesus are not allowed to follow their faith but is the answer always to go to court We must never forget we are commanded not to fight our battles the way the world does. There is a god of this world who hates us and doesn't want others to come to him that is who our fight should be with.

Cemetery is banning the mention of God 8-11-11

If you are like me when a love one dies doesn’t it help if somebody says God Bless you or God cares about you.

Well there is one place that isn’t taking place. A Texas-based law firm that defends First Amendment freedoms finds it "completely outrageous" that the Houston National Cemetery is banning the mention of God from veterans' funerals. Liberty Institute has filed suit on behalf of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), The American Legion, and The National Memorial Ladies. When a love one has a family member die they need to be shown and told the love of God.

This sounds like something which would take place in the old Soviet Union. A place where there was no hope after death.

Death Row Man Changed 8-9-11

Don’t you think we should know when condemned souls expressed remorse. Awhile back Nebraska’s Gov. who I like Dave Heineman expressed some frustration over how the courts in our land works Heineman was talking about the case involving Carey D. Moore who was put on death row in Nebraska for the horrible murders of some cab drivers in Omaha back in 1979.
“I find it frustrating, and I’m a bit angry that we’re worried about the cruel and unusual punishment about these criminals, ,” “I don’t hear them express any remorse about their victims and their families.” Gov. Heineman said.
I happen to have a ministry to those in prison and the good Gov. should know Carey Moore is a changed man. He has expressed remorse for his crimes. He is now a child of God. I leave it up to the courts if he should be put to death but please know he is a changed man. What do you think.

I don't Want Casey/OJ to Get God's Justice 8-5-11

God's Justice

After the verdict that Casey Anthony did not murder her child people around the nation and world were so upset they were yelling for justice. I understand that. We saw the same after the OJ trial where it appears somebody got away with murder.

We all want justice in our court system. However when Casey Anthony or OJ die should we want God to give them justice because we are going to get the same thing.

If we get justice we will all end up in hell because we are going to be compared to sinless Jesus that is why we need to receive him as savior in this life. We aren’t going to be compared to Hitler when we die but to perfect Jesus. What do you think.

God Knows Who Killed Her 8-4-11 Commentary

The big headline-maker of the day: Did Casey kill Caylee? Headlines like “Jury Had Sympathy?”, “Verdict Brings Tears, Shock, Outrage”, “Casey Anthony’s Future: Freedom, Book Deal?”, were in papers, on I Pads, and on talk radio. Did Caylee get away with murder I don’t know based on what I heard she did commit murder.. However God knows if she did it or not and she will have to answer to him one day. Sadly our court system is not perfect at times people get away with crime other times those who did not commit crimes are punished by the courts. However God is the perfect judge he knows the truth. He makes no mistakes right. What do you think. Until Next Time

Bad Children Can Change 8-3-11

Don’t you think we should have hope for children to change at the same time they should be punished when they do wrong right.

In the city where I do these broadcasts two boys, ages 12 and 13, have been charged with a sexual attack on a 5-year-old girl and her 7-year-old brother at a park. They allegedly forced the girl to perform sex acts and forced her brother to take part. According to investigators the assault was recorded on the boys' cell phones.

Letters in the paper are calling for these kids to be punished harshly.

I agree they should be punished but they should not be put in adult prisons. We don’t want them to come out worst do we. Children don’t belong in adult prisons. These kids should be punished but not as adults.

What do you think.

Children Rights July 21, 2011 Commentary

I don’t believe children are adults or should have the same rights as adults do you? The Supreme Court in a ruling late last month said the state of California could not prohibit the sale or rental of violent video games to children.

Two of the justices went against the majority one of them was Clarence Thomas who said the founding fathers didn’t mean the right of minors to access speech without having to go through their parents when they wrote the first amendment.

This should remind us that parents need to be the ones in charge of their children. The court needs to embrace the fact children aren’t adults. Children can’t drive, drink, or vote.

Parents should raise kids not the courts.

Legitimizing sharia law in U.S.?

Muslim symbolA bestselling author and terrorism expert says a Florida judge has set a very bad precedent in ruling that a dispute between two Muslim parties can be settled under sharia law.

Circuit Judge Richard Nielson has come under attack from conservatives after he ruled in early March that a lawsuit filed against the Islamic Education Center of Tampa Bay by four ousted trustees can proceed under Islamic (or sharia) law. The issue involves whether an arbitration by an Islamic scholar was proper. Nielsen ruled that the mosque's ex-trustees were ousted improperly, which if upheld, could wrest control of $2.2-million from the Center's current leaders. ( Legitimizing sharia law in U.S.?)

(Billy's Thoughts>>> This is the United States of America should not a judge follow our laws when deciding a case. If a judge can't or won't follow our laws it just may be time for him to leave the bench.)
