No Tolerance for Moral Values, 3-9-12 Commentary

Don't you think tolerance should be shown to those of us who hold Bible based and moral based views.
The city leaders here in Omaha, Nebraska this last Tuesday debated giving special rights to gay or transgender residents.
Ron Brown, a Nebraska football coach, talked before the Omaha City Council in opposition to the ordinance.
University of Nebraska-Lincoln Chancellor Harvey Perlman took assistant Husker football coach Ron Brown to task Thursday for not making it clear he was not speaking for the university when he testified.

Why do those who teach at the nation's colleges never have to make it clear that they are not speaking for the colleges they work at when they come out in support for special rights for gays. Perhaps that is because they are speaking for those schools.

Obey God Rather than Men, 3-2-12 Commentary

Listen to the audio

In today’s commentary I want read part of a newsletter that was sent out  to folks who support the work I do.          I hope you don't mind but I thought this month I would write about an issue which is political but at the same time  is making an impact in the faith community.
President Obama is trying to force members of the Catholic Church   to pay for  birth control-  INSURANCE  COVERAGE.. I pray for President Obama and all of our leaders everyday but I will follow my God and my convictions before I follow any man or woman regardless which political party he or she belongs to. Even though most of us Evangelicals don't follow the doctrine of the Catholic Church when it comes to birth control the issue is should government make people of faith go against their faith and if it tries to what should the  faithful do. Don't you think we should  obey God rather than men like Peter did in the book of Acts when he was ordered to go against his faith. What do you think?

Accidental burning of some Korans, 2-24-12 Commentary

A mistake means it was not done on purpose right?   We should say we are sorry when we hurt somebody on purpose but should we keep saying we are sorry when we make a mistake. Don’t you think if we have  apologized once that should be enough. Well President Obama, a general  and other leaders in our nation  keep saying they are sorry for the accidental burning of some Korans. It was a mistake what is not a mistake is the rioting that has taken place  in Afghanistan by radical followers of Islam which has led to the death of Americans. Also why does President Obama speak out on this but keeps quiet on a Pastor in Iran who is about to be put to death because he won’t reject his faith in Christ.

Can We Afford Four More Years, 2-17-12 Commentary

Don’t you think those in politics at times get their focus on the wrong prize? Take what is taking place now between those who are running for President. In my humble view they are putting too much focus on those who they are running against instead of  focusing on what President Obama has done to America and how they can change it. They should be asking the American voters if we can afford another four years of Obama. I don’t think we can do you? I pray and hope the majority of American voters will see by election day that we can not. What do you think.

Kings Values: 1-16-12 Commentary

Listen to the commentary http://billydteacher.wordpress.com/2012/01/16/2052/

Today Monday, January 16, is Martin Luther King Day. Some Schools will be closed though I think it might be better to keep those schools opened and teach the kids about Martin Luther King but of course the kids aren’t going to hear about the values which guided King in the government schools.

During his Birmingham civil rights campaign, Dr. King required every participant to sign a pledge committing to do ten things. The first was to “meditate daily on the teachings and life of Jesus.” Others included the expectation that all participants would “walk and talk in the manner of love, for God is love;” and “pray daily to be used by God in order that all men might be free.”

Those of us who value life should be thankful for Dr. King.

Ron Paul Would Be Worst than Obama, 1-6-12 Commentary

Listen to the commentary

Are you a Ron Paul backer? If so do you support the Jewish State the nation of Israel who is one of America’s only friends in the middle east. If so listen to this.

David Rubin is an author. He remembers Paul's reaction three years ago, when Israel responded to terrorist rocket attacks on its innocent citizens."Ron Paul was on the news criticizing Israel for responding and referring to the Israeli troops surrounding Gaza as turning the Palestinians into like concentration camp victims," Rubin recalls. "This is absolutely anti-Israel."

Ron Paul would be worst than Obama when it comes to Israel. Don’t you think we need to support a friend like Israel.

What do you think.

2012 Goals/Desires, 1-2-12 Commentary

Happy New Year! Listen to the commentary
Something I do every News Years Eve and or New Year’s Day is to make out my goals and or desires for the new year in fact I make out goals the first day of every month for the following 30 days. Perhaps you might want do the same this new year. Now don’t forget goals are things you have control over desires are things you want to happen but have no control over. How about having as a goal to find out what God’s will is. A way to do that is by opening up the Bible and reading it. Even if you are a non believer that would be a good goal because shouldn’t you know who you have said yes or no to.
