No Tolerance for Moral Values, 3-9-12 Commentary

Don't you think tolerance should be shown to those of us who hold Bible based and moral based views.
The city leaders here in Omaha, Nebraska this last Tuesday debated giving special rights to gay or transgender residents.
Ron Brown, a Nebraska football coach, talked before the Omaha City Council in opposition to the ordinance.
University of Nebraska-Lincoln Chancellor Harvey Perlman took assistant Husker football coach Ron Brown to task Thursday for not making it clear he was not speaking for the university when he testified.

Why do those who teach at the nation's colleges never have to make it clear that they are not speaking for the colleges they work at when they come out in support for special rights for gays. Perhaps that is because they are speaking for those schools.
What do you think.

June 30, 2011 Commentary Helping Gays

Don’t you think parents, teachers, youth Pastors, and Sunday School teachers should help youth not to follow a lifestyle that causes them trouble.

Teens can be troubled, but a huge new study released by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that gay, lesbian or bisexual adolescents are more likely than their heterosexual peers to take unhealthy risks.

The CDC found that gay , lesbian or bisexual students had higher rates for seven of the 10 health risk categories: violence, attempted suicide, smoking, drinking, other drug use, risky sexual behaviors and weight management issues.

This should be a call to all of us who care about young people to help them not to engage in a lifestyle that will give them nothing but trouble. What do you think.

Ron Paul Might Not be on the Right All the Way

A conservative military advocate wants to educate voters about potential GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul who was one of a handful of Republican members of Congress who voted last year to repeal the law that banned homosexuals from military service.

Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas)Congressman Ron Paul (R-Texas) officially announced the formation of a 2012 presidential exploratory committee during a recent event in Des Moines, Iowa. An exploratory committee allows Paul to raise and spend money toward a 2012 candidacy. Paul finished fifth in the 2008 caucuses and has visited Iowa seven times since. (Tea Party fave in spotlight for 'gay' stance )

(Billy's Thoughts>>> This man might be on the right when it comes to taxes and spending but when it comes to the social issues he might not be part of the right. )

GOP struggles over first 'gay' official

The California Republican Party has elected its first openly homosexual board member. One incumbent is hopeful the action will not further enforce a "gay" agenda on citizens of The Golden State. (GOP struggles over first 'gay' official)

Greg GandrudGreg Gandrud, a longtime political activist and former Carpinteria city council member, was elected to the GOP Board of Directors, making history as the California Republican Party took a dramatic turn. The election of the 50-year-old Republican was kept quiet during the California Republican convention in Sacramento -- although incumbents have long stated that the party wishes to draw in new supporters.

Celeste Greig, president of the volunteer California Republican Assembly, says many Republicans did not know of Gandrud's sexual orientation until recently. But she adds that her conservative group will stand its ground, both fiscally and socially.

Celeste Greig (CRA)"I hope that he doesn't bring his personal lifestyle within the party," says Greig. "Of course everyone is welcome to be members, to be productive. If they try to bring up more of their issues and promote more of their lifestyle, I'm sure that's not going to go well at all with members of the California Republican Assembly and with me."

(Billy's Thoughts>>> If the GOP backs down on the core values which have made it the grand old party they will be in trouble. They can't become a party that supports gay rights and same sex marriage if they do those of us on the right just might leave it. After all why have two parties if their values are the same.)
