No Christmas Boycott, 11-30-11 Commentary

(Listen to the Commentary)

I don’t expect people who don’t know me to wish me a Happy Birthday on
My birthday.
The American Family Association and Liberty Counsel have come out with their “Naughty and Nice” lists. On the Naughty list they give the names of the companys who don’t recognize Christmas in their advertising. The Purpose of the lists is for people of faith not to spend their money at the places on the Naughty list. However I have a
Different idea why don’t we go to places who are anti Christmas and in a nice respectful way show them the Christ Of Christmas.
Do you think we should expect those who don’t know the Lord to honor his birth?
What do you think.

Obama Doesn't Give Thanks to God, 11-28-11 Commentary

(audio)

"The Thanksgiving radio address the U.S. President gives to the public had an unusual twist this year -- there was absolutely no religious reference in it., Barack Obama's omission of God in the Thanksgiving message was yet another signal of just how boldly secularist is his vision of America." That was posted by my friend Denny Hartford on his blog .

Denny also posted the following... Regardless of polls, politics or economics, Barack Obama does have a set of core beliefs that he religiously (pun intended) sticks to. That's why he is willing to shut down the government to keep taxpayer money going to Planned Parenthood."

Amen Denny. The Bible says by their fruit you will know them has Obama given us any fruit to show he wants to encourage us to thank God for what he has done for America?

Happy Thanksgiving! 11-24-11 Commentary

(audio)

Thanksgiving Day 2011:

Happy Thanksgiving Day 2011. I hope today in between eating and watching football you won’t forget to give thanks first to God and then to those who have blessed you.

Here is what I am thankful for: America- the best nation in the world. My family. The abilities I have been given to share the love and truth of God. Those who support the work I do.

Above all I am thankful for God who gave Jesus Christ so by simple faith in him my sins can be forgiven and I can be given salvation.

What do you think.,

Penn State and Values: 11-22-11 Commentary

(audio)

Cal Thomas had a great radio commentary last Friday on what is taking place at Penn State. Cal said he is outrage like most people by the shameful acts and cover up that has taken place at that school involving sex with boys which has resulted in some firings.

However Cal goes on to ask who decides what is right and who decides what is wrong. At one time abortion was frown upon by doctors today it is legal and some think it is a good thing.

Cal is right we have forgotten the author of life and his views for living.

Honest at Wallmart, 11-18-11 Commentary

A few weeks ago I was in my local Wallmart store. I added the things up in my cart and went to pay for them. I was shocked when I was told how much my total cost was. No it wasn’t too much I thought it would cost more.

I left the store but as I looked at the sales slip of how much I had been charged I saw I had not been charged for a print cartage I had bought. I went back into the story and paid for the item. The cashier thanked me for being honest. I said something like I am a follower of Jesus and he would want me to do that.

I share this not to be praised but to say for those of us who follow Christ this should be our normal lifestyle.

If not we are not a good witness for our Lord. Don’t you think.

What do you think.

Harder Growing Up 11-7-11 Commentary

Monday, November 07, 2011

(audio)

As many of you know this last Friday, November 4th my radio commentary program on KCRO radio ended but from time to time I will post a commentary here on my blog. Today I am doing the first one of those.

I want read something I wrote in a newsletter that I send out to family, and others who pray and support the work I do.

I believe it is harder to grow up today than in other times. No debate it has never been easy going through your teens or preteens. However once the same values and messages were preached in the church, in the school house, and in the home. Not today. You see the value that all human life is a gift from God put down. You see marriages breaking up perhaps even in your own home. You see anyone who stands up for God or faith in a higher power ridiculed by the media. You see different churches by a single vote of her leaders no longer calling sin what the Bible calls sin. So yes it is harder growing up today but as soul who has worked with young people for many years I am trying through what I do to show young people there are values like family, and faith in God that will remain even when things are shaky.
